Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") supplements Pagevala's Terms & Conditions and explains what is not allowed on the Platform. By using Pagevala you agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination without refund.
1. Prohibited Content
You may not create, publish, or host pages that contain or promote:
- Illegal products or services under Indian law (drugs, weapons, prostitution, trafficking, counterfeits)
- Adult content — pornography, sexually explicit material, escort services
- Fraudulent schemes — Ponzi schemes, bait-and-switch offers, fake reviews, fake testimonials
- Hate speech or harassment targeting religion, caste, gender, sexual orientation, race, nationality, or disability
- Violence, terrorism, or self-harm
- Impersonation of real individuals, businesses, government officials, or public figures
- Copyright, trademark, or patent infringement
- Pharmaceuticals or medical products without appropriate licensing
- Gambling, betting, fantasy sports, or online casinos without proper Indian licensing
- Deepfakes, manipulated media, or misinformation
- Political content violating ECI rules during active election periods
- Content harmful to children — any content that exploits, endangers, or targets minors
2. Prohibited Behaviour
You may not:
- Use Pagevala to send unsolicited marketing (spam, phishing)
- Use bots or scripts to create multiple pages bypassing our rate limits
- Scrape or harvest data from other users' pages
- Reverse engineer the Platform or extract our AI prompts / models
- Circumvent payment or rate-limiting systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure
- Use the Services to compete with Pagevala or train a competing AI model
- Resell or white-label the Services without a written licence agreement
3. Elections 2026 Specific Rules
For candidate pages created during the Elections 2026 campaign window:
- Publisher imprint is automatically added per Section 127A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951
- 48-hour silence period banner is auto-shown within 48 hours of polling
- AI-generated photos of candidates are disabled to prevent deepfake risks
- Hate speech or ECI Model Code violations result in immediate takedown and may be reported to the ECI
- Pagevala is a neutral, non-partisan platform and does not endorse any candidate, party, or political position
4. Enforcement
- Automated scanning of every generated page for prohibited keywords, adult content, malware, and AUP violations
- User reports — visitors can report suspected violations to pagewala.in@gmail.com
- Law enforcement notices — we comply with lawful takedown requests from Indian authorities
- Human review — our compliance team reviews flagged content within 24 hours
4.1 Consequences
- Warning with a request to edit or remove offending content
- Page takedown — removing the specific page while keeping the account active
- Account suspension — temporary (7–30 days) or permanent
- Refund forfeiture — no refund for accounts suspended for AUP violations
- Reporting to law enforcement — for illegal content
- Civil action — recovery of damages for abuse, fraud, or IP violations
5. Reporting Violations
If you see content on pagevala.in that violates this AUP, report it to pagewala.in@gmail.comwith the subject line "AUP Violation Report — /p/{slug}". Include the URL, a description, and any supporting evidence. We will acknowledge reports within 24 hours and act within 72 hours for urgent cases.
